Tax School Scholarship

Investing in the next generation of tax professionals

Tax School has spent decades helping practitioners stay sharp. In 2026, we extended that commitment to the students who will join them, awarding our first Tax School Scholarship.

The $2,500 scholarship is awarded through the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics (ACE) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to a junior or senior student in the Agri-Accounting program who displays academic excellence and an interest in tax or accounting.

If you know a student currently enrolled in the Department of ACE at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign that may be interested in this scholarship, visit Financial Aid & Scholarships or reach out to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Advising at aceundergrad@illinois.edu for more information about the application process.

2026 RECIPIENT

Andrew Jo

Andrew is the inaugural recipient of the scholarship. He has already put his accounting coursework into practice, preparing individual tax returns at MH CPA, and he has an internship with Deloitte this winter. He is also pursuing a Master of Accounting Science (MAS) through the University of Illinois Gies College of Business.

“Last year, while preparing individual returns at MH CPA, I was able to better appreciate the technical sides of tax accounting, and it confirmed that this is the career path I want to pursue.”

Look for Andrew at Fall Tax School in Champaign this year.
